I Am The Icarus, the brainchild of Daniel Godfrey, is an exploration delving into the depths of human emotion. From raw hatred and misery to acceptance of pain and hope, the aural terrorism of the songs clearly draw on emerging philosophies and truths that tear down old ideas and unfeeling in our continually decaying world. Influenced by the likes of Bill Hicks, composer Nobuo Uematsu, and director Hayao Miyazaki, as well as bands like Nine Inch Nails and The Smashing Pumpkins, I Am The Icarus set out ambitiously with a clear vision and goal that soon became realized by Producer Shaun Lopez (Far, Deftones) in 2009. I Am The Icarus is based out of San Diego, CA.
